Greetings Earthlings, and welcome to my website!

 

I am Nick Palazeke, a professional drummer/percussionist currently residing in Rotterdam, NY. I have been playing music since I was 10 years old- that's over 20 years at this point! This makes me feel quite old.

 

As a performing musician I have experience playing many styles of music and have performed all over the United States. Original bands that I have been a member of include I Was A Hero, Desafinado and Lost Drones, as well as my current projects Victory Soul Orchestra and Yeah Universe. You can see me playing all over New York and the northeastern United States with them or catch me with the insanely busy party band Funk Evolution, of which I have been a member since 2021. I also regularly perform as a pit orchestra musician for musical theater productions and live-stream performances from my home studio on Twitch. I have been an endorsed artist with Collision Drumsticks since 2023.

 

Music education is a passion of mine. I hold an A.A.S. in Music Performance from SUNY SCCC School of Music and am fortunate to have studied under some amazing music teachers. They inspired me to continue sharing knowledge with the next generation of musicians. Since 2012 I have been teaching drums, concert percussion, hand drums and piano. I am currently accepting students at my home studio in Rotterdam NY as well as online via Zoom. I have limited availability at the Upstate NY studio Warren Music Academy as well. Over 100 students have joined me for lessons and I hope to continue growing that number for a long, long time! 

 

Outside of music I enjoy spending time with my wife (professional artist Stephanie Palazeke!) and our dog, Pocket. I am an avid baseball fan, and I also enjoy video games, camping, and Dungeon and Dragons.
